Backend by nature. Full-stack by necessity. Obsessed with both.
I'm Nishal. I build the systems that other engineers inherit and maintain for years. I think about that when I write code. I do frontend too, and I actually enjoy it but if you ask me where I'm most at home, it's somewhere deep in the server side. Currently working full time while building a few things of my own on the side.
My real obsession is backend — designing systems that are clean, fast, and reliable even when things get messy. I love the problem solving side of it, figuring out why a query is slow, how to structure an API that won't be a pain to maintain six months later, or how to handle load without everything catching fire.
That said, I picked up frontend along the way and I'm glad I did. Being able to go from database schema to a working UI without handing it off to someone else is a massive advantage. I care about how things look and feel — I just care more about whether they actually work well underneath.
These are the tabs that are always open. Not a resume list an actual snapshot of how I work.
Not a list I made to impress anyone this is genuinely what's open on my machine every day. Backend heavy by nature, but the full picture. These are the tools and workflows I've actually shipped production code with.
Find me where the signal to noise is high.
